    Important Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Travel

    • Do you have MoneyNow to protect yourself from declined transactions due to insufficient funds?
    • Are your accounts set up for automatic transfers?
    • Do you have an overdraft loan?
    • Do you have a back-up plan, such as: Credit Card/Traveler's Checks?
    • Are all of your loans up to date?
    • In most cases, only your checking account will be accessible from foreign ATMs.
    • Are you aware of potential exchange rates, surcharge fees and cross border and conversion fees?
    • ATM machines will only allow withdrawals from the checking account.
    • Have you spoken to your travel agent or the hotel you’re staying at to find what is the easiest and most acceptable means of payment?
    • Is your cell phone capable of accepting/placing international calls?
    • Are all account holders with cards that are traveling been updated?
    • Does the Alternate/Authorized Contact we call have the ability to reach you in the event we can’t reach you directly?
    • Is the expiration date of the card in the same time frame you will be traveling?
    • Does your card show excessive wear and need to be replaced (you will be responsible for replacement charge)?
